“La Nuit des Musées,” museum night takes place on May 16th. It’s the perfect occasion to see temporary exhibitions for free and rediscover the permanent collections in Paris’s museums, at night!
FestiWall 2016, Urban Art Festival in Paris
French organization “De l’amour et des Murs,” The Wall Urban Art Gallery and the 19th arrondissement in Paris are coming together to bring you FestiWall: the first urban art festival in Paris along the water of the canals! Saturday and Sunday May 22nd and 23rd 2016.
Art Shopping Expo Spring 2016
The “Salon Art Shopping” is back at the Carrousel du Louvre shopping mall on May 28th and 29th, 2016. See the newest generation of Parisian artists and treat yourself to artwork at an affordable price.
MACParis Spring 2016 at Bastille Design Center
The MACParis contemporary art festival is full of diverse works and an event that you won’t want to miss this year, at the Bastille Design Center from May 15th to 22nd.
Montrouge Contemporary Art Festival 2016
The 61st annual “Salon d’art contemporain de Montrouge,” will be on May 4th-31st this year. Organized by art critic and commissioner Ami Barak, the College Critique has selected 60 artists this year.

Monumenta 2016, Huang Yong Ping at the Grand Palais
The Monumenta installation in the heart of the Grand Palais is an extraordinary challenge. This year, the RMN has invited great Chinese artist Huang Yong Ping to tackle the 114 foot nave of the Grand Palais. Come see this installation, called Empires, from May 8th to June 18th, 2016!
Bertrand Lavier at the Monnaie de Paris, “Merci Raymond”
From May 27th to July 17th, 2016, Bertrand Lavier will be taking over the Monnaie de Paris museum. His exposition, titled “Merci, Raymond!” pays tribute to his friend Raymond Hains in 12 anecdotal installations in the 12 halls of the Hotel du quai Conti.

Paris fashion museum Musée Galliera will be presenting its collection in this remarkable exhibition, “l’Anatomie d’une Collection,” open from May 24th to October 23rd, 2016.
History of the Popular Front in Photographs at the Hôtel de Ville
Paris’s Hôtel de Ville will be revisiting the history of the “Front Populaire” or the Popular Front, leftist movement of the first part of the 20th century, with a temporary exhibition from May 19th to July 23rd, 2016. 80 years after the beginning of the movement in 1936, the Popular Front can be seen in photos.
A Billion Artillery Shells, Millions of Men
This year, the Musée de la Grande Guerre (First World War Museum) located in Meaux (Paris region) takes a look at the artillery in 1914-1918 and at the transition from the field to the trenches in 1916. This exceptional exhibition, titled “Un milliard d’Obus, un million d’hommes” will be open from May 21st to December 5th, 2016!
Jean Lurçat at the Galerie des Gobelins
From May 4th to September 18th, the Galerie Gobelins is showing an exhibition on 20th century French painter Jean Lurçat. Lurçat was a unique artist that saw great success in the period between the two world wars, both in Europe and in the USA.

Gardens of the Eastern World at the Institut du Monde Arabe
Just steps away from the Seine river in the square at the Institut du Monde Arabe, a large garden will be in bloom from April 19th to September 25th, 2016. The orange and palm trees, roses and jasmine will transport you out of Paris and into other worlds, exploring styles ranging from the Iberian peninsula to the Indian subcontinent. Visitors can also head inside the museum for an exhibition showing the most beautiful gardens found throughout these nations.
The Avengers STATION Exhibition Comes to Paris
The Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. is an interactive exhibition and recruitment session that will teach you how to become a Marvel superhero! James Bond 007 Exhibition in Paris
To celebrate over 50 years of the world’s most famous spy, the Grande Halle de la Villette has opened its James Bond 007 exhibition, which closes September 4th, 2016. The exhibition unveils 500 accessories from the 007 movies, from Bond’s costumes to his Aston Martin DB5, and of course the set decorations from the different films!
Looking through the eyes of Apollinaire, Exhibition at the Musée de l’Orangerie
Experience Apollinaire, art critic and friend of famous artists, in an extensive exhibition at the Musée de l’Orangerie from April 6th to July 18th, 2016. Through this poet’s works, we gain new insight into a decade full of artists like Matisse and Picasso, Delaunay and Douanier!

Discover Barbie from all different angles at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs
This fantastic exhibition shows Barbie as more than an icon. The Musée des Arts Décoratif (Museum for Decorative Art) is inviting Mattel and their famous Barbie for a large exhibition that includes more than 700 Barbies and styles, from March 10th to September 18th 2016, to shed light on Barbie’s evolution through a changing society since 1959. Miquel Barceló, Sol y Sombra Exhibition at the Picasso Museum
For its first contemporary art exhibition since reopening, the Musée de Picasso presents the work of Miquel Barceló, an artist born in Majorca whose work is in some ways close to what Picasso was doing. Come see it from March 22nd to 28th, 2016.
