It's the most eagerly awaited family festival in western Paris! Every year in June, the Family Festival brings together the Fondation Louis Vuitton and the Jardin d'Acclimatation to launch a weekend packed with fun, sports, cultural and creative activities!
What's on the program? Creative workshops, sports, concerts, tours specially designed for youngsters, shows... During the weekend of June 15 and 16, 2024, it's time for experimentation, discovery and exploration, for young and old alike, and all with the whole family !
At the Fondation Louis Vuitton, visitors can discover the current temporary exhibition, Matisse's L'Atelier Rouge, or Ellsworth Kelly, Formes et Couleurs, 1949-2015, through storytelling and musical tours, with the help of the Fondation's baby trail, games and a host of creative workshops for children aged 0 to 12.
At the Jardin d'Acclimatation, the attractions are a little more fun, with an 8-metre-high rock-climbing wall installed especially for the occasion, and acroyoga sessions... And let's not forget the shows and concerts, combining music, dance, theater and brass bands, presented in the Garden or the Foundation. This year, a collaborative performance by designer Elise Fouin invites families to wander through her enchanted forest...
Foodtrucks will be on hand all weekend long, serving hot dogs, pretzels and other finger food! So, why not head for the Jardin d'Acclimatation and the Fondation Louis Vuitton this weekend, June 15 and 16, 2024?
Workshops 0-2 years
This immersive 3-dimensional space, imagined by Koralie Carmen Flores, is a place to explore where shapes, materials and colors mingle: small mountains, large leaves, constructions, soft, hard and shiny elements, allowing toddlers to immerse themselves in this imagined nature and manipulate its smallest details.
Designed as a colorful, geometric playground, toddlers and their parents are guided into the world of graphic composition by artist Alice Guillier. A set of giant dominoes with flexible shapes is laid out on the floor, to be explored in a variety of ways, through observation, manipulation, play or rest. A memory game to compose, recompose and embed. From squares to triangles, from lines to colors, the elements intersect, combine and meet, plunging the audience into an environment that changes and evolves as it is manipulated.
Workshops 4-12 years
Taking their cue from the Family Festival characters, children are introduced to the screen-printing technique and create their very own festival poster!
The paper weave links, constructs, assembles, without freezing. The interplay of volumes, the creation of curved, soft, repetitive forms, recalls the rhythm of Frank Gehry's building, free, airy and supple.
Colored by past exhibitions and architecture, designer Flora Koel's studio echoes the artists on display, with its mix of colors and infinite formal research: the red of Matisse, the blue of Kelly and the green of the Family Festival.
Discover CoColor, the method created by painter Rosy Lamb, inspired by her practice of mixing oil paints. Take up the artist's challenge: Can you create Ellsworth Kelly's rainbow using just three colored pencils? How about creating the true red hue seen in Matisse's L'Atelier rouge?
The workshop, designed by illustrator Laura Giraud, uses stencils and paint to create your own artist's studio in homage to Matisse's L'Atelier rouge.
Family workshop
A workshop to discover the different materials used in the building designed by Frank Gehry: stone, ductal concrete, wood, steel and glass. Look up at the glass sails and play with the wind!
Join musician Frànçois Marry in Galerie 4, where, inspired by the places and works that surround him, he improvises and exchanges with the public.
How do you introduce your baby to art? Gently and through the senses, guided by a cultural mediator!
Follow the cultural mediator in the exhibitions Ellsworth Kelly. Forms and Colors, 1949-2015 and The Collection, Rendezvous with Sport. Form, color, line and space, this tour is an invitation to observation. Using their senses and emotions, children observe the works in a playful and sensitive way.
In rhyme and rhyme, children and parents follow the adventures of a small falcon as he flies over the Fondation in search of the building's astonishing secrets. As the story unfolds, children encounter the elements of nature that inhabit the site - wind, seeds, sun, water - and help them to unravel the mysteries of this enchanted architecture.
A cultural mediator guides you through the exhibitions Ellsworth Kelly. Formes et couleurs, 1949-2015, Matisse, L'Atelier rouge and La Collection, Rendez-vous avec le sport and offers families a joyful and playful discovery.

Ekla! is the fruit of a meeting between four artists from three disciplines: folded paper, moving images and electronic music. Imagine a larger-than-life pop-up book, onto which this adventure is projected, accompanied by a vitamin-packed soundtrack played live.
Exploring immersive and astonishing graphic universes, electronic music duo Turnsteak plunges us inside a magical book. Each page unveils paper sculptures, inhabited by beings of light and shadow, and colorful architectures.
Both poetic and experimental, we can see the birth of a first stroke on an empty space, which evolves, metamorphoses and dances until it leaves the frame. From then on, paths to the imaginary open up.
La grande Fabrique Orchestrale Junior, made up of some twenty young teenagers from Aubervilliers, La Courneuve and Villepinte, have been learning to play an instrument in a brass band since 2021. Accompanied by professional musicians, they revisit the "classics" of New Orleans second-line funk, Maghreb and French and British Caribbean music with a breath of fresh air and uncommon energy!"
Originally from Saintes, François Marry moved to Bristol (England) in 2003, where he began his musical career. Initially working solo, he then enlisted several French friends to form the group Frànçois & The Atlas Mountains, whose debut album - The People To Forget - was released in 2005. Increasingly noticed, the group gained widespread international recognition when it joined the ranks of the illustrious English label Domino for the album E Volo Love (2011). This was followed by the albums Piano Ombre (2014), Solide Mirage (2017) and Banane Bleue (2021). In 2018, François Marry - under the pseudonym Frànçois Atlas - released Les Fleurs du mal, a solo album transposing Baudelaire's famous poetic collection into music.
