Get up close and personal with nature and its inhabitants for 5 days - that's what the annual Fête de la Nature is all about, as soon as spring rolls around. From May 22 to 26, 2024, a multitude offree activities and events open to all await us in theparks, gardens, woods and forests of Paris and the Ile-de-France region.
And Essonne is no exception to the rule, with a lovely program for the curious young and old alike. To make sure you don't miss out, we've compiled a list of what's on in the 91 region, just to whet your appetite.
Fête de la Nature 2024 in Essonne (91), the selection:
- Fête de la Nature à Saclay: Saturday, May 25
Take part in nature outings, workshops and events to discover edible wild plants, pond birds and local, eco-responsible craftsmen and producers, as well as associations.
- Nature en Fête at Domaine de Soucy in Fontenay-Lès-Briiss: Saturday May 25, 10am-6pm
A day dedicated to raising awareness of environmental protection in all its forms. On the Pays de Limours territory, concrete and accessible solutions can be discovered to modify our habits and our consumption!
On the program: meetings, exchanges, games, animations and conferences. On-site catering provided by two food trucks.
- Fête de la Nature à Boussy Saint-Antoine from May 22 to 26, Parc de la Mairie and surrounding area
From May 22 to 26, Boussy celebrates nature and biodiversity with a series of educational and artistic events.On May 22 at 7pm, the inauguration of three photo exhibitions on birds, sustainable development and land art will mark the start of the festivities, which will continue until May 25. On May 24 at 8:30pm, a documentary on river pollution will be screened. On May 25, the day will be packed with activities, including sophrology, a wetland outing, a picnic, an escape game and a dance demonstration. The celebration of the Platanes avenue, which has been awarded the "Ensemble arboré remarquable" label, will include a guided walk. Finally, on May 26, botanical explorations will be offered. Throughout the week, local associations will be raising public awareness of environmental issues.
- Carnival and Fête de la Nature in Ris Orangis from May 22 to 25
A festive day dedicated to nature is planned for Sunday May 26, with Carnival as a bonus. Prior to this, from May 22 to 25, the Fête de la Nature celebrates the beauty and diversity of the city with a variety of events, encouraging action to protect our planet.
- Fête de la Nature at the Ile de Loisirs d'Étampes Wednesday May 22 and Sunday May 26
On May 22, sow a meadow at the Ile de Loisirs d'Étampes and on May 26, enjoy the Village nature sui awaits you from 10am to 5pm with workshops and walks on the program.
- Fête de la Nature à Savigny sur Orge: Wednesday May 22, Saturday May 25 and Sunday May 26
For its 2nd edition, the town is offering a weekend entirely dedicated to nature, with a varied and enriching program for all ages .Activities include tours of the municipal greenhouses, a workshop on biodiversity, a lecture on zero waste by Jérémie Pichon, and a plant swap. In collaboration with EPT Grand-Orly Seine Bièvre, AELOE, SEVE and Ruchers de Villemoisson, these events will take place from May 22 to 26. Tours of the municipal greenhouses will be held on May 22 and May 25, the Parc Séron participative workcamp and conference will take place on May 25, and the plant swap will be held on June 26 at the Davout market.
