Everyone knows about the Chinese New Year, widely celebrated in Paris, but have you heard about the Moon Festival? It’s yet the second most important festival for Chinese. Every year, the 13th arrondissement gives pride of place to the Moon Festival to make it the first festival of Asian music in Paris. This year, we’re all expected from September 9 to 20, 2019 for a program full of discoveries.
For 12 days, very varied events will make us enjoy the different Asian cultures. You can attend an extraordinary traditional Mongolian music concert, an Asian fusion concert performed by artists from different continents or a show about the Indian mythology told and danced for all ages.
Or you can take part in an afternoon entirely devoted to the discover of charms and how rich Chinese characters are with many cultural and playful workshops. Or you can attend screenings-debates and visit exhibitions.
You know it, Paris 13th arrondissement houses a large Asian community. The promotion of its culture helps the multicultural sharing that makes the richness and the vitality of this district. It’s the perfect occasion to exchange and meet new people.
