Taking part in Museums Night for the third year in a row, the Château de Champs-sur-Marne welcomes you in its gardens from 8 p.m. to midnight (last access at 11:30 p.m.). On the spot, discover varied artistic performances all long the perspective of the French formal garden, accompanied by dance performances. Foodtrucks and many activities are available so that you can grab something to eat all evening long and discover the estate entirely.
On the menu of Museums Night 2019 in Champs-sur-Marne:
Art lovers are invited ot discover in the Château the current exhibition, "Rêve de Papier", by artist Isabelle de Borchgrave. This exhibition enables to discover over 45 exceptional creations showing the art of working with paper and painting. Dresses, kaftans and other fashion accessories are presented to visitors. They are also invited ot discover a decor made of painted and lit kaftans bringing the landscapes to the Bassin de Scylla to life. Local inhabitants, helbed by the "La Paume de terre" association endeavored to create original, colorful models to help to the visual magic of this uncommon night in the gardens.
In order to add a festive touch to this party, the Cour d'Honneur will be filled with 1200 lit balloons at nightfall, and by the end of the night, visitors are invited to take these lit balloons back home.
