Since March 31, 2017, DC Comics heroes have been guests at the Musée Art Ludique. In the halls, the stories of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Justice League, Green Arrow, The Flash are unveiled to the general public.
For over 80 years, these heroes have been omnipresent at the cinema, in comic books, on the small screen and even on children's channels, and unite all generations so much they have influenced the world: we're also expecting the release of the Justice League film and a new Batman album signed by Enrico Marini in November 2017.
It′s the first time in the world that an exhibition has looked back on almost a century of artistic dynamics imagined by two Cleveland teenagers, Joe Schuster and Jerry Siegel, creators of Superman in the 1930s, a character an innovative genre.
If fans have been able to discover the costumes of DC Comics heroes, from September 11, 2017, they will be able to preview 30art-works (concept drawings) created for the film 'Justice League ' kept secret until now by the production, illustrations and original color plates from the future Batman album created by artist Enrico Marini, as well as studies of the costumes of Aquaman, Cyborg and Flash and the new Batmobile, which find their place on the walls of the Musée Art Ludique until January 7, 2018.
For this exhibition on the heroes of DC Comics, more than 250 historic original plates, over 300 research sketches for the cinema and numerous costumes and accessories from the iconic films have been loaned for the delight of superhero fans.
As the first in a family of almost 150 superheroes, Superman takes pride of place in the exhibition, with numerous plates, excerpts from old cartoons, costumes from different eras and even artworks from films made during the hero's life!
Focusing on Superman and Batman, this exhibition will reveal the secrets behind the DC legend, a set of symbols (costumes, appearances, sets, symbols and emblems) that make all these superheroes so famous. It will look back at the origins of the genre and a century of artistic dynamism, from 1938 to the present day.
Authentic costumes created for major DC films, such as the mythical costume worn by Christopher Reeve in Superman or the famous costume worn by Lynda Carter in Wonder Woman in the 1970s. You'll also be able to see for yourself the costumes and accessories created for the films by Zack Snyder, Tim Burton, Joel Schumacher and Christopher Nolan, as well as those for the eagerly-awaited Wonder Woman which opens in cinemas on June 2.
An anthology exhibition that will do all fans a world of good as they await the release of the next DC films, Wonder Woman on June 2, 2017, Justice League - Part 1 on November 15, 2017, Flash in March 2018, Aquaman in July 2018, Shazam! in April 2019, Cyborg in April 2020 and Green Lantern Corps in June 2020!
