In Dourdan, Essonne (91), Philippe Auguste built an extraordinary castle in 1220. Museums Night is the perfect opportunity for a free visit of this castle which spanned the centuries.

A story of the Château...
From the Middle-Ages to the Roaring Twenties, without forgetting the Grand Siècles, actors of the company Acta Fabula play the great characters of the chateau history. such as Jean, Duke of Berry, poet Jean-François Regnard, Madeleine Angelique Countess of Verteillac and her litterary salon from the 18th century, Joseph Guyot's female painter friend Aline Boilian and Opera singer from the 1910's-1920's Jeanne Poncetton and husband and owner of a 17th century private mansion François Poncetton.
Visitors follow the dressed-up actors for staged visits in the whole castle and the museum. Several visit departures are offered all evening long at 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 9 p.m., 9:30 p.m., 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
