L’Europe autrement, the photo exhibition at Atelier néerlandais in Paris

From September 21 to December 17, 2017, Atelier néerlandais is located in Paris 7th arrondissement and hosts an exhibition called “L’Europe Autrement”. Three photographers are brought together: Henri Cartier-Bresson, Nico Bick and Otto Snoek.

How to represent Europe? What about asking Dutch and French photographers to offer various images to this wide region? In other words, this is the idea for this new exhibition that will run at Atelier néerlandais with its project “L’Europe Autrement”.

Three series of photographs will be brought together: one by Dutch Nico Bick, Parlements de l’Union Européenne (Parliaments of the European Union), one by his fellow countryman Otto Snoek, Nation and the famous series Les Européens (The Europeans) by Henri Cartier-Bresson.

Whether they focused on European traditional outfits, on the architecture of the official buildings or on the celebration of national events in Europe, the three photographers offer a delightful vision of this part of the world.

Humanist, severe, ironic… the point of view is always different and Europe shows thousands of new facets.
