Vaux-le-Vicomte takes you behind the scenes of the series Versailles

From September 23 to November 5, 2017, the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte takes us behind the scenes of many films and series. As a privileged shooting location, the château has been housing many shooting crews for many years including the crew for the series Versailles. The rooms, the shooting set, the costumes and temporary workshops will take you backstage.

From September 23 to November 5, 2017, Vaux-le-Vicomte offers its visitors to relive the most striking scenes ever shot in the château.

To celebrate the launching of Versailles* season 2, the public can discover the costumes of the series and watch video excerpts from the most beautiful scenes shot at Vaux-le-Vicomte, enjoy reconstructions of sets and get in the actors’ shoes thanks to unique animations with a green screen.

Each Sunday, come and meet a FX chief makeup artist, a chief decorator, a costume designer or a wigmaker who will explain their extraordinary jobs contribution to the shooting of a movie or a series. These atypical personalities will host conferences-meetings to unveil the various facets of their jobs. Enjoy free “FX makeup” workshop: you’ll know everything about fake wounds and wrinkles!
