This Friday, November 17, 2017, the Rodin Museum looks back at the career of sculptor Auguste Rodin with a free day to mark the 100th anniversary of the artist's death: a tribute at his tomb in Meudon, tours of the collections with music and a fireworks display over the Garden of the Rodin Museum Paris, this Friday, we're going to say Thank You Mr. Rodin!

The Rodin Museum is 100 years old in 2017: one hundred years already since Auguste Rodin died, on November 17, 1917, and to commemorate his memory, the Rodin Museum invites us to a free, festive day this Friday, November 17, 2017, at both the Rodin Museum in Paris and the Rodin Museum in Meudon, located in his home and workshop!

For the most passionate, the appointment is given at 11am in Meudon for a tribute to Rodin on his tomb in the presence of the Minister of Culture. This will be an opportunity to revisit his home, (re)discover his modest bedroom and find his soul in his hilltop studio.

Then, at the Musée Rodin in Paris, also free for the day, the big event begins at 2pm with theinauguration of the Mirbeau trail, and a musical tour of the museum's works. We'll never tire of the Porte des Enfers, the Trois Ombres and his photographs, taken in his studio.

The highlight of the day is the fireworks display in the garden of the Musée Rodin at 7:45 p.m., aboveRodin's The Thinker- a fitting way to salute the artist and thank him for his legacy!
