In 2017, Musée Rodin Paris is 100 years old: it’s already been 100 years since Auguste Rodin died on November 17, 1917 and to commemorate his memory, the Musée Rodin invites you to spend, on Friday November 17, 2017, a festive day free of charge at the Musée Rodin Paris and the Musée Rodin Meudon, located in his house and workshop!
For the most passionate visitors, you’re expected in Meudon at 11 a.m. to pay tribute to Rodin on his grave in presence of the Minister of Culture. This meeting will be the occasion to visit his home and (re)discover his modest bedroom and find his soul in his workshop on the hill.
Then, at the Musée Rodin Paris, also free for the day, the big event will start at 2 p.m. with the inauguration of the Mirbeau tour and a musical tour of the museum’s works. We’ll never get tired of The Gates of Hell, The Three Shades and his photographs taken in his workshop.
The day’s main highlight is the firework set off in the Musée Rodin garden at 7:45 p.m. to end the day, above The Thinker, a wonderful way to pay tribute to the artist and thank him for the heritage he left us!
