The Louvre is preparing the new season… From July 14, 2018 to January 14, 2019, the cultural venue offers a modern art exhibition to celebrate the 160th anniversary of the diplomatic relationships between Japan and France. This is the occasion to celebrate another anniversary as well, the 150th anniversary of the Meiji era, celebrating the opening of the borders to the West.
A season called Japonisme 2018, Les âmes en résonance that highlights a monumental work by artist Kohei Nawa. Called Trône [Throne], the impressive and cleaned installation looking like a giant “microbial” fir tree is going to be set up on the Place au Belvédère under the pyramid in full view of everyone.
An artist who knows and is used to France and art center since the latter exhibits one of his works between October 2017 and March 2018 at the Centre Pompidou-Metz, called Japanorama, A New Vision on Arts since 1970. In 2015 he already offered an exhibition at the Maison de la Culture du Japon à Paris, Cosmos/Intime – La Collection Takahashi.
The Japonsime 2018, Les âmes en résonance season is an original and modern way to celebrate the diplomatic relationships between Japan and France.
