The Grand Palais transformed into a life-size factory

The Grand Palais, open for the World Fair 1900, has always been housing all kinds of events, mainly art ones. But this year, a revolution is coming: the Grand Palais will house… a life-size factory! To be discovered for free from November 22 to 25, 2018!

Two in ten jobs: it’s what represent most of workers today in the French active population. Less numerous than before, but unfortunately still as precarious, workers remain absolutely vital to your daily life. Go and meet them by visiting a reproduction of their workplace, it will be a more than essential experience.

Who would have known? It’s at Paris Grand Palais that, this year, we can visit a life-size factory. The idea? Revealing what happens in “today’s factories”, in other words, the places of production that are, more than we can think of, modern and connected. Children are obviously the targeted public of this free event supported by the Fondation Usine Extraordinaire under the aegis of Fondation FACE.

On the menu:

  • Immersive experiences
  • Dialogs with technicians, engineers, workshop managers and students
  • Discovery of the behind the scenes with fabrication sites in regions
  • Tours featuring monumental machines
  • Conferences

Meeting worker to understand better the meaning and the impact: perfect when we are a city dweller disconnected from realities!
