COLOURS X COLOURS, the Atelier des Lumières experience

"Colours X Colours" is the experience to be had at the Atelier des Lumières from September 7, 2018 to January 6, 2019.

While the great Klimt experience continues in the Atelier des Lumières' Grand Hall, artists Thomas Blanchard and Oilhack will take over the 160m2 Studio with their COLOURS X COLOURS experience.

If you don't know them, Thomas Blanchard and Oilhack collaborated on the Iphone X advert and Tokyo's Sony Square. Passionate about color inks and their interactions, they offer 6 breathtaking videos.

Settle into an armchair, have a little drink, and immerse yourself for 24 minutes in the most spectacular painting videos.

These two artists worked for 2 years to create 6 experiences centered on painting. For 24 minutes, paint, through its form, color and material, soothes us.

Acrylic, oil or soap, the painting is filmed in macro (extreme optical magnification), and projected onto the walls of the STUDIO, offering a fresh look at painting and its techniques. For this exhibition, these two artists, who happen to be neighbors, got together on several occasions, especially in the evening, to experiment with how materials interact: he explains that he tested bleach with glycero paint, to see the grease balls come off, but also tested dropping colored oils on flowers and capturing the result, which only lasted a few seconds each time!

The experience continues with a focus on glycerophtalic paint and paint beads, culminating in explosions offering a profusion of hues, nuances and movement.
