Star Wars exhibition in Paris: The fans strike back, extended time

Are you a fan of the Star Wars saga? Head to the Centre Expo Lafayette Drouot in Paris from December 14, 2018 to May 4, 2019 to discover the impressive exhibition designed by fan Daniel Prada for fans and entitled "Les fans contre-attaquent". Described as Europe's largest private collection dedicated to the Star Wars universe, this exhibition unveils totally unique pieces that have been crafted by fans from all over the world and are truly worth the detour!

The Star Wars saga invites itself to Paris for the duration of an incredible exhibition entitled " Fans Counterattack ". This installation, voted best exhibition of the year in Spain by a jury of Internet users, is not to be missed from December 14, 2018 to May 4, 2019 in a new Parisian venue: the Centre Expo Lafayette Drouot.

What makes it special? Having been conceived, imagined and mounted by a fan: Daniel Prada. Born in Madrid, this Spaniard is a true science fiction enthusiast, who began collecting objects of all kinds as a child. But it was in his teens that the power of the dark side seduced him for good. Since then, he has devoted himself exclusively to the Star Wars universe.

As the press release states, the " Fans Strike Back " exhibition is aimed at " other fans, so that every fan of the famous saga can immerse themselves with delight in this very special and captivating universe ". So, yes, you'll need to know a thing or two to push open the doors of the Centre Expo Lafayette and take full advantage of the " Les fans contre-attaquent " exhibition.

The installation unveils " one-of-a-kind pieces made by fans from all over the world, incredible geniuses, talented craftsmen who have built sculptures, models or recreated costumes that are true works of art ".

The three levels of the Centre Expo Lafayette are home to numerous figurines, as well as a number of exceptional pieces, such as the 5-metre-long Jabba the Hutt , to be admired at life-size, and the immense 3.90-metre-high life-size rancor! We're impressed by the precision of detail in each of these pieces.

We also loved the life-size 1.80 m-high reconnaissance droid, not forgetting the indispensable Chewbacca.

All the saga's mythical characters and creatures are on display: Yoda, r2d2, the ewoks, Princess Leia and even Darth Vader... A total of 600 pieces are on display for this installation, considered to be the largest private collection ever organized in Europe.

And to keep you on track, each floor of the Centre Expo Lafayette tells the story of the various trilogies. Each piece on display is accompanied by informative notes (planet, size, species, replica, description and episode where the character or creature can be found).
