Artistes à la Une exhibition Togeth'Her x Madame Figaro at La Monnaie de Paris

We love the Artistes à la Une project, this beautiful auction of (fake) magazine covers signed by great artists. While Libération played the game in 2016, and Vogue in 2019, this year we discover Togeth'Her x Madame Figaro, with 26 portraits of women by 26 international contemporary artists. To be seen at La Monnaie de Paris from June 4 to July 4, 2021, before an auction at Artcurial.

Togeth'Her is a beautiful project as we like them: works sold for the benefit of charities and featuring committed women. In 2019, the 33 Vogue covers produced as part of the"Artistes à la Une Togeth'Her & Vogue" project raised 235,000 euros for UN Women.

For its 3rd edition, the project teamed up with Madame Figaro magazine - which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2020 - and contacted some twenty artists, offering them the chance to create a cover for the magazine, for the association close to their hearts.

And Togeth'Her 's 2020 vintage is... promising. Adel Abdessemed chose actress Golshifteh Farahani, Prune Nourry featured a young blind woman, and Olivier Masmonteil immortalized Salma Hayek as Vermeer's Jeune Fille à la perle. Eva Jospin selected Svetlana Alexievitch, the 2015 Nobel Prize-winning writer. Jean-Michel Othoniel illustrates Princess Charlene of Monaco. Joana Vasconcelos dedicated a lace work to her friend Stella McCartney, while Jules de Balincourt immortalized Kamala Harris, the Vice-President of the United States.

While the real works are destined for auction, they are the subject of a free exhibition at the Monnaie de Paris. In fact, most of the artists have agreed to produce high-quality prints in 70 x 50 cm format, sold at affordable prices in limited editions of between 20 and 100, signed and numbered. They will be on sale at La Monnaie de Paris and on the Togeth'her website.
