Art is everywhere in la Défense! Huge open-air space, La Défense provides 69 artworks to enjoy, including César’s Le Pouce, Bernar Venet’s Doubles Lignes Indéterminées, Talkis’ Bassin, Joan Miro’s Personnages Fantastiques, Alexander Calder’s Araignée Rouge. And for three summers now, art comes with Les Extatiques, an open-air exhibition displayed on the esplanade.
On the menu, about twenty huge works by artists contacted by Beaux Arts Magazine Managing Director and Curator of the exhibition Fabrice Bousteau and financed by the Hauts-de-Seine department and Paris La Défense as part of their support to contemporary creation.
Sculptures are to take over the public space for a lovely walk enabling us to rediscover the Esplanade de La Défense and outdoors spaces of La Seine Musicale (parvis, rooftop-garden...). Some works are even set to stay and join the 69 works of La Défense, the others will be included in departmental collection.
Even though artists for the edition 2021 are now known yet, we propose to rediscover Les Extatiques 2020 with a few pictures:
To discover! With your friends, or family, the exhibition is for everyone.
