A giant snail celebrating ecology and recycling through an installation by 29 street artists. This is what you can discover in the Forêt Escargot, a traveling exhibition now installed in Malakoff. Dive into this little world from July 11 to October 25, 2020.

A giant snail continues to make headway in the Paris region. After camping out in Place Stalingrad and Denfert-Rochereau, the Forêt Escargot is now squatting in a new neighborhood in Malakoff. This time, thetravelling installation can be seen until October 15, 2020 on the square in front ofMalakoff Town Hall, place du 11 novembre 1918.

Conceived by Inzouk Assoc, a non-profit association that organizes cultural events linked to urban pictorial practices, this unusual installation showcases the work of 29 street artists. All agreed to work together to sculpt, paint and fabricate both indoors and outdoors, giving birth to this Escargot Forest.

While the snail's tail was dressed by EvazéSir, the shell was painted by Michael Beerens. Inside, visitors can discover a gigantic totem pole by Nosbé, as well as a shower of luminous floral pendants by Mademoiselle Maurice. Young and old alike will fall back into childhood thanks to the panda by Doudou'Style, and the giraffes by Mosko...

Like all installations, the Forêt Escargot invites reflection. By choosing to promote the reuse of materials, the Forêt Escargot raises the question of what happens to our waste, and invites visitors to " understand that beauty is not inseparable from newness ".

To fully understand and admire the project, opt for a guided tour, by appointment only, on Thursdays and Saturdays. If you'd like to discover this highly poetic collective work, head for the forecourt of Malakoff town hall. We can't wait to see where it goes next.
