The Atelier des Lumières presents Yves Klein, Infinite Blue, an immersive exhibition designed like a biography, and running since February 2020.
The tour returns on the artistic life of the designer and makes us rediscover his work to the sound of Mozart and Thylacine. 90 works, 60 pictures from archives, this is what to expect at the Atelier des Lumières until January 17, 2021. The exhibition is closed until further notice.
Yves Klein, the man who wanted to “make of (his) life a work of art” is exhibited in all colors and shapes. Especially designed for this exceptional exhibition area, the tour reveals the diversity of the technics and subjects approached by the artist.
This exhibition is also a tribute to the Mediterranean. One of the artist’s first love, the origin of his inspiration and work, we find the Mediterranean in the color, the movements and the energy conveyed in Yves Klein’s designs. This strength, we find it in the soundtrack accompanying our travel, and giving all the dept to the works presented. On the menu: Mozart, Vivaldi, as well as electro with Thylacine and post-rock with band A liver Mount Zion.
Yves Klein, Infinite Blue is presented at the same time as the Monet, Renoir, Chagall… Journeys around the Mediterranean exhibition. An experience you don’t want to miss, a total immersion into the greatest paintings inspired by the Mediterranean. All you need to want to dive into the sea or enjoy some holidays in Marseilles rocky inlets.
