The Centre des arts d'Enghien-les-Bains is hosting "Les artisans du rêve", a free exhibition focusing on science fiction and special effects in cinema. Immerse yourself in the greatest cinematic universes thanks to the many objects, sets and costumes on display, from January 31 to April 11, 2020.

The Centre des arts d'Enghien-les-Bains invites us into the future. The Dream Craftsmen exhibition features a selection of short films created by students at ArtFX Academy, the Paris branch of the eponymous school based in Nimes and Montpellier. On view free of charge from January 31 to April 11, 2020.

These students are both the artisans of dreams and the architects of the shadows, their professions often unknown to the public... And an exhibition highlighting "the behind-the-scenes aspects of visual creation, with models and preparatory drawings, costumes and set elements". These "objects of cinema" are "the traces and archives of filming, allowing us to sketch a portrait of certain characters, or to mentally relive some of the key scenes in a story". This retrospective also takes a look at how special effects are created, "to augment reality or create a fully-fledged three-dimensional virtual space, a magical transposition of reality".

The exhibition Science-fiction: les artisans du rêve is being launched to coincide with the Paris Images Trade Show festival, dedicated to special effects. Whether you're a fan of cinema, science fiction or new technologies, this exhibition is a must-see for learning and dreaming about what the future has in store for us!
