The Fondation Custodia presents “Anna Metz. Etchings”, the exhibition returning on Anna Metz’s career. Works displayed in two rooms on the first floor of the foundation are exclusive prints made with a surprising method. Discover Anna Metz’s work from February 15 to May 10, 2020.
The Dutch artist created has been etching for over 25 years. We can identify different periods in her creations, related to her private life. Her first pieces of work often depict landscapes, places Anna Metz has visited. When her children grew up and became independent, the artist has been able to renew herself and try new technics, boldest and unparalleled.
Anna Metz provides unrivalled works with her own means and defying the usual rules of her art. The Dutch artist likes being surprised and pushing the materials to their limits, even if she has to break the plate of metal used as a canvas. These experiments, these “adventures” as the artist likes to say, created very different and distinctive works of art.
And you too, be surprised by Anna Metz’s work. Come and discover her etched landscapes and admire the artist’s life work.
