The Musée Yves-Saint-Laurent puts the spotlight on former Yves Saint-Laurent model and muse Betty Catroux. The exhibition Féminin Singulier reveals Betty Catroux's most exceptional outfits, on view from October 8, 2020. The exhibition is currently closed by government order.

Betty Catroux is the star of the Musée Yves-Saint-Laurent. The exhibition Betty Catroux. Féminin Singulier unveils the wardrobe of the former model and muse of designer Yves Saint-Laurent. From October 8, 2020, admire some 50 outfits representing the androgynous ideal that so fascinated the couturier.

Over 180 haute couture pieces and 138 pieces created for the Saint Laurent Rive Gauche label. This is what Betty Catroux's dressing room contained, and what she donated to the Fondation Pierre Bergé - Yves Saint-Laurent. For theexhibition Betty Catroux. Féminin Singulier, 50 outfits are highlighted in the museum galleries.

The clothes on display reflect the designer's ideals of beauty and his trademark. And with good reason: on seeing Betty Catroux for the first time, Yves Saint-Laurent fell in love with her figure, her allure and her subversive side. The model became a major influence on the couturier, inspiring new looks and styles.
