In line with Emmanuel Macron's statements this past April as for the progressive lockdown exit schedule in the country, Paris Musée des Arts Décoratifs announced to reopen from May 19, 2021.

Following the announcement of the new lockdown starting on Friday October 30, 2020, Paris Musée des Arts Décoratifs had to close again until further notice. Were also closing the Musée Nissim de Camondo, the library of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and the Ateliers du Carrousel. Even though we were all very sad not to be able to go to museums for a while, good news has arrived: the museum reopens from May 19, 2021, after closing for several long months!

As soon as the museum reopens, we will be able to get to our dearly beloved places soon to admire the Luxes and Harper's Bazaar exhibitions, both reopening from May 19. Please note the Musée Nissim de Camondo is also set to reopen from May 19, 2021. The second and third lockdowns also postpone the opening of the compelling Thierry Mugler: Couturissime exhibition, initially said to open in late 2020.

The Musée des Arts Décoratifs was not the only place closing down: museums and places open to the public and said to be non-necessary had to follow the same rule. They will then be able to reopen from mid-May.
