Like all cultural places in France, the Musée Jacquemart-André was forced to closed because of the coronavirus epidemic and the lockdown. As the country keeps on exiting containment, the museum has announced to reopen from Tuesday May 26, 2020.
So, how does the museum adapt to the health instructions? On its website, the Parisian museum says the public must book a timeslot online and be invited to limit the tour of the temporary exhibition to one hour maximum. Because if several rooms of the permanent exhibition remain closed for now, visitors can enjoy the Turner exhibition. Note the access is limited to 60 people.
In order to limit risk of spreading the virus, facemasks are mandatory within the museum and hand sanitizer is available. Body temperature will be checked at the entrance and a 1-meter distance must be kept at all times between people. The Musée Jacquemart-André also says that groups are not allowed and the tearoom as well as the locker room remain closed.
