The Louvre, as other museums, is closed until further notice. Despite the lockdown, you can still enjoy the treasures it contains thanks to different solutions available on its website. Let’s enjoy a free tour!

Do you miss the Louvre? We get it, we do too. Lucky for us, we can still enjoy the museum’s magnificent works of art thanks to its website. The Louvre provides us with different solutions to make us discover its collections. Podcasts, animated movies, videos, you’ll be busy until the end of the lockdown.

The most famous museum in Paris has prepared many entertainments to keep us busy during lockdown. Podcasts, videos, concerts, the Louvre made sure everyone can enjoy its offer.

On the museum's YouTube channel, many videos are available for children. The petits contes d'automne offers to discover the story hidding behind each works displayed at the Louvre. Tales created for children but likely to entertain the entire family as well.

Different solutions are available. Commented pictures highlight a few masterpieces and show the story and the incredible know-how of artists of all times. For children, one-minute long episodes as animated movies present these incredible works in a playful and didactic way. Professors and parents can even use a dozen educational files and activities to introduce their youngest to art.

World famous painting a true superstar at the museum, Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci gets a special treatment. A focus on the work enables us to understand its story and its specificities. Those of you owning a virtual reality headset can enjoy a one-on-one date with the painting to admire all details. For the others, a phone app is available on the AppStore and Google Play. To know more about the painter, a five-episode podcast will deliver Leonardo da Vinci’s secret.

The Louvre also gas a Youtube channel on which you can find conferences, presentation of artists or past exhibitions. And speaking of exhibitions, don’t miss the virtual tour of Figure d'Artiste that makes us travel from our sofas.
