In Paris, museums are getting ready to reopen and the Petit Palais, set in the 8th arrondissement, is expected to be able to welcome visitors again from June 16, 2020.

In June 2020, the French capital will know a wave of museums’ reopenings. After being put on hold by the coronavirus epidemic and the lockdown caused by this health crisis, cultural places are gradually starting to work again by adapting to recommendations to limit the spread of the virus.

And in this calendar of museums’ reopenings, June 16th, 2020 is said to be the return of many cultural places in Paris among which the Petit Palais. This museum of fine arts set in Paris 8th arrondissement, just across the Grand Palais, is part of those iconic places in town.

Inaugurated for the 1900 World’s Fair, it turns 120 years old this year in a very special context. If the conditions on which this Parisian museum is said to welcome visitors again are not detailed yet, the Petit Palais says that it will gradually reopen and give access to the “In The Drawing Room” exhibition first. Note that June 16th is subject to change and could be depending on the evolution of the epidemic.
