Anticorps, the Palais de Tokyo exhibition on virtual tour

An epidermal reaction to the coronavirus health crisis... The Palais de Tokyo invites contemporary art lovers to plunge into the heart of our own conception of the body through its new exhibition, Anticorps, from October 23, 2020 to January 3, 2021.

A retrospective that particularly invites visitors to"reconsider the hermeticism of our bodies" after this long period of confinement and social distancing.

Anticorps is an exhibition that invites the curious to re-examine their relationship with the virus and external aggressions, to better highlight the vulnerability of their carnal envelope and the increase in"inequalities already present, in terms of class privilege and exposure to risks". An artistic moment that also encourages us to"redefine our ties and proximities".

"Why should our bodies stop at the border of our skin?" asked Donna Haraway, Professor Emeritus in the Humanities Department at theUniversity of California, Santa Cruz. It's a question that Anticorps seeks to answer, offering itself as an exhibition "that attempts to think through skins, endeavoring to develop several registers of affectivity, presence and haptics, that exploration of the sense of touch without it being physically activated".

On the artists' side, there are a number of names from the international contemporary scene, including Dominique Petitgand, Tarek Lakhrissi, Xinyi Cheng, Forensic Architecture, Özgür Kar, Kate Cooper, Florence Jung, A.K. Burns, Emily Jones, Lola Gonzàlez and Nile Koetting. In short, an opportunity to reflect on one's relationship with the body and to take a fresh look at the consequences of this crisis, through the prism of art.
