Starting with Huong Dodinh, this is the first retrospective of this extent. Exclusive creations, moving, spiritual and universal to discover in the museum’s Champa room, as well as in the Hôtel Heidelbach. Two places for two aspects of her work. On one hand, clean creations looking for light, her fascination for snow and spotless white. On the other hand, colors, still clean, but inspired by the Vietnamese lacquering technique. The artist also creates her own pigments.

As for the Thu-Van Tran exhibition called “Fais de même bois”, the artist sculpts and molds and delivers banana leaves made of bronze “like as many traces or remnants of men in the Asian forests”. An exhibition displayed on the first floor of the museum “suggesting these leaves – wherever they come from, greenhouse or tropical forest – are alike, trapped in the bronze flow that took over”. To these works is added a rubber tree painting, by the entrance of the place’s library, also displayed in the Making Worlds Exist exhibition at Asia Now in the Salon Hoche in Paris 8th arrondissement.
