Paris Musée du Quai Branly relaunches its "summer garden" operation with a free entertainment program in the garden: tours, workshops, and tales are on the menu... Meet from July 4 to August 31, 2020, with a free access.

Every summer, the Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac opens to Parisians and tourists to make us enjoy the freshness of its huge 18,000-sqm garden (created by landscape architect Gilles Clément) and its exceptional program!

Tales for children, workshops, guided tours, the Musée du Quai Branly knowns how to open our minds onto the world and its diversity! This year, following the coronavirus epidemic, Jardin d'été - or summer garden - shortens the program but does not forget to provide you with free tours!

For an hour, or the day, Musée du Quai Branly summer garden is THE place to be to rest and escape.

Musée du Quai Branly summer garden program:

  • Napping in the garden, from Tuesday to Sunday, from 2 p.m.
    In the garden, with or without a book, visitors can be lulled by the sounds of the museum’s collection. How relaxing!

  • Guided tours in the garden, from Tuesday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
    Learn more about the museum's garden, this unique green setting, and the diversity in the world, for a 20-minute walk (from 8 years old).

  • Sound immersion into the world, Wednesdays and Fridays at 5 p.m.
    Travel across the world thanks to the sound of tropical forests, nights by the lake or afternoon in the sun in the Théâtre de Verdure.

In addition to these entertainments for adults, the Musée du Quai Branly also targets children with art, workshops, tales, all this for free!

Musée du Quai Branly summer garden program for children:

  • Tales, Saturdays from July 4 to August 29, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
    On Saturday afternoons, story-tellers will come over to tell stories, legends, and other tales from Africa, Asia, Oceania, and Americas, to children from 6 years old. Comfortably seated, they are encouraged to be lulled by these mythical tales.
  • "Mini beehive" workshop, Sundays at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., and 5 p.m.
    With this 45-minute workshop, children (from 6 years old) are invited to create a small beehive, and learn more about these pollinating insects vital to life on Earth. To participate, please get a voucher at the reception desk on the very day.

  • Lullabies from the world, Wednesdays and Fridays at 3 p.m.
    The Musée du Quai Branly expects children (from 6 years old) in the Théâtre de Verdure for a fun entertainment. Listening to child singing, and lullabies from all over the world and try and find where they come from with a playful quiz.

On your own, with friends or your family, come and enjoy the Musée du Quai Branly summer garden, protected by one of the 169 oak trees and maple trees in the northern part, magnolias and cherry trees in the southern part! And if you want to go viist the Musée du Quai Branly, it devotes a very beautiful exhibition to Helena Rubinstein's collection, in addition to its display of magnficient works from all over the world.
