Château de Monte-Cristo opens for a new season: here is the program

Château de Monte-Cristo reopened this past May 19, with a crazy program! Murder Party, staged tours, exhibitions, escape game, come and enjoy all these entertainments for a small cost in a Renaissance castle and its park open onto the Seine. An original walk to enjoy with your family in famous novelist Alexandre Dumas’s former house.

Alexandre Dumas waits for you in the heart of Château de Monte-Cristo for many uncommon strolls and adventures! The castle reopened this past May 19, 2021 so visitors can enjoy the experience and the good time people have when visiting this cultural monument also belonging to the French literature.

It is now part of our routines, do not forget your facemask and put it on in the castle. The latter is limited to 58 people inside the building at the same time. This limited gauge enables to make the most of the beauty of the place and provides a very relaxed outing.

Château de Monte-Cristo also planned several entertainments for the reopening. Here is the program of tours and special events until late November 2021.

Entertainments to come:

  • Rire avec Dumas et ses caricaturesexhibition until June 16 to discover the writer in a funnier light

  • Sculptures par détournements d’objets” contemporary art exhibition by Pierre Treilhes, from June 23 to September 22, 2021

  • A musical Sunday, June 13: walk around the castle gardens listening to musicians playing from different locations in the park

  • 20th Salon du Livre Jeunesse in Monte-Cristo, book far on Sunday October 3, 2021

  • New tours with scenes, the last Sunday of the month, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Murder Parties, one Saturday per month until October

  • Monte-Cristo style escape game to discover in November
