Château de Monte-Cristo opens for a new season: discover the program

Alexandre Dumas awaits you at the heart of the Château de Monte-Cristo for many unusual strolls and adventures! The château reopened on May 19, 2021, to allow visitors to quickly recapture the experience and good times that are part and parcel of every visit to this monument to French culture and literature.

It's now routine to remember to bring and don your protective mask inside the château. The latter is limited to 58 people inside the building at any one time. This reduced capacity allows us to enjoy the beauty of the site even more, and makes for a relaxing stroll.

Château de Monte-Cristo has also planned a number of activities for the new season. Discover the program of visits and special events until the end of November 2021.

Upcoming events :

• Theexhibition Rire avec Dumas et ses caricatures, until June 16, to discover the author from a more humorous angle
• The contemporary artexhibition Sculptures par détournements d'objets, by Pierre Treilhes, from June 23 to September 22, 2021
• Musical Sunday, June 13: stroll through the château's gardens and listen to musicians playing in various parts of the grounds.
• The 20th Monte Cristo Children's Book Fair, Sunday October 3, 2021
• New theatrical tours on the last Sunday of the month, from 2 to 6 p.m.
• Murder Parties , one Saturday a month until October
• A Monte Cristo-style escape game, to be unveiled in November.
