Museum Night 2020 at Paris Musée Curie

For Museum Night 2020, the Musée Curie, devoted to the career of scientist Marie Curie, offers activities and entertainments galore on Saturday May 16, 2020. A wonderful way to start your Parisian tour and know more about sciences.

Due to the coronavirus epidemic, Museum Night - initially planned on May 16th - has been reported to November 14th, 2020. As for the program, what has been already announced is no longer guaranteed and will be subject to an update depending on the announcements from participants. Thank you for your understanding.

A night for sciences… On the occasion of Museum Night 2020, the Musée Curie offers varied entertainments and other shows on Saturday November 14, 2020.

Set in the former places of life of Marie Curie, at the very same spot as where she used to study and teach radioactivity over a century ago, the cultural venue offers several informative tours and activities suiting family, all year long.

And on this special occasion, you can – among others – visit the office of the female scientist, the chemistry laboratory kept as it was and even the amphitheater where the latter used to teach. An exclusive tour at night fall offering budding or skilled scientists the chance to discover this woman of sciences in a new light in every sense of the word.

Detailed program: 

  • 3 p.m., story-teller Elisa Bou will present told show for "Marie Curie, magicienne du radium"
  • 8:30 p.m., actress Prune Lichtlé will be on stage for "Marie Curie, la traversée d'une vie", an exclusive cocreation of the museum about Marie Curie's trip to the USA in 1921.
  • At 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.flashlit tours are held in the gardens and around the museums. This exclusive entertainment, "Lumière sur les portraits de la famille Curie par C215" offers participants to follow the path of the potraits of the Curie family by C215 and discover the story of the five-time Nobel prize winning family.
