  • Flash visit to the temporary exhibition of the Mini-Maousse 9 competition "Games in the city".
    Saturday, May 18, 9:00 pm, 10:00 pm

Mini Maousse 9 with its title "2024, les jeux en ville: concevoir une mini-fan-zone nomade" contributes to the reflection on the Olympic Games that will take place in Paris, this summer 2024.

The competition sets the challenge of imagining local microarchitectures, a kind of nomadic mini-fan zone, for the sensitive housing estates of the 93 region, and in particular the Plaine Commune agglomeration, to ensure the inclusive participation of their residents in the Olympic Games. The aim is to create friendly, family-friendly spaces around a multifunctional, responsible module in neglected urban areas. Faced with the large-scale facilities of the Paris 2024 program, Mini Maousse proposes to think small, close and accessible, so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of sport in the most isolated and remote areas. It will be a kind of Nudge, one of the tools of active design, whose aim is to encourage physical activity and the practice of sport.

The competition and its exhibition at the Cité de l'architecture are projects labelled "Cultural Olympiad" by Paris 2024, as part of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
