Museums Night 2018 at the Musée d’Orsay
The Musée d’Orsay takes part in the Museums Night 2018 on Saturday May 19, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and offers families to discover for free a whole bunch of animations dedicated to Monet.
Museums Night is the occasion for participating institutions to offer to the public a new eye on their collections. Some offer musical guided tours, other dances, other animations for kids… the Musée d’Orsay offers us to discover the universe of the painter, Monet, through a jazz concert and a presentation of his works.
Here is the program for the evening:
- La Nuit Monet: “Ceci est un Big Band!” – concert for kids
Saturday May 19, 2018 from 8 p.m. to 8:10 p.m.
Shaped like a playful and instructive event, musicians from the Umlaut Big Band will present kids varied instrument families that are the Big Band.

- Concert: Europe at the time of Swing
Saturday May 19, 2018 at 9 p.m., 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Jazz is the most sensational dance music spreading out in Europe between the wars. A wide network of European musicians makes it popular. Come along and discover the richness of their repertoire and celebrate the golden age of swing with the Umlaut Big Band.

Opening from 6 p.m. to midnight, last visitor access at 11 p.m. and beginning of the rooms evacuation at 11:30 p.m. Free access to collections and the exhibitions “Wild Souls. Symbolism in the Baltic States”.
