After the exceptional opening of the Sculptures and Moldings Gallery in 2015 and the Great Stables in 2016, the twelfth edition of the Museums Night will highlight places that have made Versailles famous worldwide since the 17th century.
For the record, the Versailles estates has immoderate sizes: over 678126.35 ft² of spaces scattered in 2300 rooms including 1000 open to the public, 815 ha of parks including 93 ha of gardens... We must say that one day is definitely not enough to visit the estate and grasp all the transformations that have been made in the past.
On Saturday May 18, 2019 from 7:30 p.m., you can enjoy a free, musical and played tour that "plays with periods, references, thrills". Provided by La Manufacture Sonore, this tour will make us rediscover the Royal Chapel, the Grands Appartements and the Hall of Mirrors, the Musée d'histoire de France and the Congress auditorium thanks to walk-on acors who are willing to make us open our eyes on this big palace.
A lovely program likely to make us forget the gardens are closed!
