Since the inauguration in 1775 of the Quai de Conti building, La Monnaie de Paris has been one of Paris jewels: coin manufacture still in use, it is known for its limited editions of coins and medals.
The project 11 Conti aims at turning La Monnaie de Paris into a place of discovery and strolling, as well as a center of excellence and attractiveness along the Seine riverbanks. Moreover, for the first time in Paris, you will be able to take part in medal coining workshops and discover metalworking.
Open onto the city, the public will also be allowed to roam around the building, cross it and stop in the lower courtyards that form the urban squares. In the heart of Paris 6th arrondissement, French know-how is given pride of place through 15 artistic professions made viable in this unique industrial venue.
Whereas 150 craftsmen work with metal, from September 30, 2017, this secret place is to be revealed so that you can all visit this exceptional heritage, its priceless collections, its palace and its royal manufacture!
Since 2014, the rooms of the 1st floor and Guy Savoy’s new 3-star restaurant have been open. We are looking forward to discovering the garden, the MétaLcafé and the concept stores that will make La Monnaie de Paris display French know-how… a “Place Vendôme of the artistic professions” starting from 2017!
We are looking forward to showing you pictures…
