For Museums Night 2019, the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris opens its doors late at night this Saturday May 18, 2019 and provides DJ set by Zelda and live concert by SheWolf. Make the best of the night too to visit the Almost Human exhibition by Thomas Houseago with a guide!

The Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris or MAM takes part in Museums Night 2019 to make us live art differently. Free museum all year long, this museum offers us a wonderful vision of modern art, including a collection featuring over 10,000 works, temporary and charged exhibitions as well as many activities for children and adults.

On Saturday May 18, 2019, the MAM will be open late at night from 6 p.m. to midnight to make us discover works from the 20th and 21st century including masterpieces by Derain, Matisse, Braque, Soutine, Modigliani, Cartier-Bresson, Giacometti, Picasso, Picabia as well as Gilles Barbier, Peter Doig, Christopher Wool... You can also see the wonderful Thomas Houseago exhibition for free and listen to music by DJ Zelda and SheWolf.

On the menu of Museums Night 2019 at the MAM:

  • Free tour of the Thomas Houseago exhibition at 7 p.m., 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.
His work is easily identifiable. Thomas Houseago creates standing silhouettes, leaning or lying silhouettes with indistinctive traits. The material is raw, sometimes concrete strings come out of the torso, sometimes the plaster is kneaded, used, carved. Come and discover his work with a guide for a 45-minute tour (booking on the spot).

  • Guided tour of the collections, at 7:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

  • DJ Set by DJ Zelda and Live Concert by SheWolf from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
To echo the Thomas Houseago exhibition who creates all these works while listening to music and especially rock music, DJ Zelda and grunge band SheWolf will settle in for the night on the south area of the museum, facing the Eiffel Tower for a night filled with music.

And to discover even more modern art works, head to the Musée national d'art moderne (set at Centre Pompidou) also taking part in Museums Night 2019!
