Paris Théâtre National de Chaillot opens its doors on September 14 to 17, 2017 for European Heritage Days and offers an opening weekend to celebrate the reopening of the second stage, the Salle Firmin Gémier.
Famous for its Art Déco architecture (created for the Universal Exhibition of 1937) as much as its demanding programming of dance shows and plays, the Théâtre National de Chaillot is one of the greatest Parisian venues.
On European Heritage Days 2017, the public is invited to explore its daring architecture, to admire the halls perspectives, the galleries and the meeting halls, to wander around the great meeting hall and to look at works of art…
Moreover, on these special days, you can enjoy guided tours and discover rooms usually closed to the general public, such as the “Sous-Foyer”, the “Galerie des Nabis”, the “Espace des 4 colonnes” and many more.
You will also visit the Salle Firmin Gémier, the theater second stage which has just been renovated. The works started in June 2014 to help persons with reduced mobility to access the place, to renovate the historical access, to build a suited stage tool and completely rebuild the stage.
