For this White Night 2017 held on Saturday October 7, Charlotte Laubard invited about 30 artists and groups to take over the popular Paris. For her, it was simple, the White Night should go North, to the Chapelle area and go down to the Halles a very popular and crowded neighborhood, to show art is everywhere and comes in all shapes. So, what does this trail have in store?
Organizing the 15th White Night in Paris, here is Charlotte Laubard’s challenge for 2017. After Jean de Loisy, this art historian and curator is entrusted with livening up Paris streets on Saturday October 7, 2017. To do so, Charlotte Laubard chose to be surrounded by 30 artists and groups to unite for a joint task, an art front against fear temptation.
During the presentation of the White Night 2017 trail, Charlotte Laubard explained that “The White Night feeds upon Paris fears” and is about to celebrate social mix by going north in the Chapelle area and in the center at Châtelet.
All in all, 28 works of art have been set up by artists or ordered by the city to shake up Paris for a night:
