In addition to the Mouzaïa neighborhood we told you about here, Paris 19th arrondissement holds other corners of paradise. One of them is called the Butte Bergeyre and we can tell you it has nothing to envy the more famous Butte Montmartre, on the contrary.
The Butte Bergeyre is never stormed by tourists. We must say that the stairs to climb to get on top could discourage more than one. But we guarantee you, climbing them is worth the trip once you’ve made it to the top, you’re looking over Paris. A wonderful panorama lays before your eyes and for you only. Oh and speaking of it, you can even see the Sacré-Coeur in the distance!
Looking like a small village cut from the rest of the French capital, and set 100 meters altitude, the Butte Bergeyre proposed beautiful walks. Have a look at the cobbled streets, the shared garden or along the vineyards of the Clos des Chaufourmiers. A true change of scenery!
Let’s stay a little longer in Paris 19th arrondissement. Another village even less known and even more discreet than the Butte Bergeyre is set there. It’s the Villa des Fêtes! Set not far from the Place des Fêtes (far from being a place reputed for its charm and calm), lays this green and lovely neighborhood. It’s hard to get in since a gate blocks the access. But don’t hesitate to ask a local to let you in for a moment. Just to have the time to discover this calm and flowered green haven, hidden from everyone’s eyes.
One of Paris many secrets!
