Christmas at the Château de Chantilly 2023, visits, storytelling, choir and show on the program

The magic of Christmas takes hold at the Château de Chantilly for the festive season of 2023. For the occasion, the château is decked out in its finest decorations and offering a magical program. Christmas visits, a new horse show, a Christmas Eve, a gourmet Christmas market and a meeting with Santa Claus are just some of the activities on offer.

Visiting the Château de Chantilly during the festive season is a real fairytale. Whether you're strolling through the gardens, admiring the incredible architecture of this famous monument, or indoors, soaking up the magic of Christmas, you'll be seduced this winter season.

There's no shortage of Christmas decorations inside the château. Fir trees and fireplaces are richly embellished with gold braids, wicks and jasmines, little jewels of silk and gold thread and ribbons.

Imagine a sumptuous and incredible Christmas table in the Galerie des Cerfs. In this large room, where there's so much to see that you can't put your eyes down, you'll be carried away by the festive atmosphere, imagining yourself dining at this table on Christmas Eve. Don't miss a visit to the Cabinet des Livres, where you'll be amazed by the discoveries and the library's incredible collection of rare books. Nearly 19,000 books are on display, and right now, the magic of Christmas is in full swing.

In the Grandes Ecuries, you'll find an impressive 2.40-metre-high Christmas tree, entirely decorated with red, white and beigeteddy bears. To keep these little characters company, two large two-metre plush toys have been placed on either side of the tree.

• Meet Santa Claus: Santa Claus will be at the Château to delight children of all ages, on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays until December 24, from 2pm to 5pm. An express mailbox will be available to send letters to Santa.

• Désirée' Christmas Horse Show : A family show combining adventure, equestrian prowess, acrobatics, humor and song, from December 2 to January 7, 2024. Prices: €30 full price and €24 concessions for the 1-Day ticket + Show; €24 full price and €19 concessions for the Show only ticket.

• Conte de Noël au château : A family adventure centered around a Christmas tale involving an animated puppet, from December 6, 2023 to January 5, 2024, at 11am and 3pm. Suitable for children aged 6 and over, duration 45 minutes, price €7 in addition to admission.

• Christmas choir : Presentation of Christmas carols by the Ménestrel children's choir, welcoming young singers aged 6 to 9, on Saturday December 16 from 2pm, in the château's main courtyard.

• Chantilly cream workshops : Learn how to make Chantilly cream in these workshops from December 2 to 17 at 3pm. Duration: 1 hour, prices vary according to age (6€ to 17€).

• Animals at the Larris animation farm : Discover rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks, goats and sheep on December 23, 24 and 25 from 10am to 5pm. Accessible with admission ticket at no extra charge.

• Le Coin Gourmand : Enjoy a mini Christmas market with crêpes, hot chocolate and other delicacies, every day from December 23 to January 8 (except Tuesdays).
