Parc Astérix, home of the almighty Gauls, is always renewing itself and expects you this summer 2022 with lots of surprise. Are you looking for a fun new outing with family or friends? Come enjoy yourself at this theme park that has no fewer than 40 attractions and great shows. And this summer, enjoy fun even longer! As a matter of fact, the opening hours are extended to 7 p.m. and until 10 p.m. from July 14 to August 28, 2022. And the park expects you all to keep having fun until the end of the night with a firework show.
This year, the park keeps on innovating. After the thrilling Oziris in 2012, the family favorite in 2014 with the Idéfix forest [Dogmatix Forest], new shows in 2015 and the Discobélix in 2016, blown us away with the Pégase Express back in 2017 and the arrival of the Hôtel Cité Suspendue and the Quais de Lutèce hotel, this year a new Tonnerre 2 Zeus is coming this year, including dives leaving you speechless, and new shows and a Gaulish parade.
To (re)discover at the Parc Astérix:
The new Tonnerre 2 Zeus
Another Tonnerre 2 Zeus ride expects you now at Parc Astérix. Picture this: a 90° tilted rise (unique in Europe), two high-speed turns, two new slopes, fourteen "airtimes" (when the speed makes passengers fly off their seats), a tunnel with special effects as well as for the bravest ones, the last two wagons being backwards... In other words, if you love thrills, you will be enchanted all over again.
Les Plongeons de l'Olympe:
Goodbye dolphins! The main auditorium of the Parc Astérix is now housing an incredible and extraordinary dive show. To honor Zeus, 4 Roman and Greek athletes come and compete in diving at the Théâtre de Poséidon in the heart of the Olympian city. At the end of the team challenges, 8 athletes nail spectacular jumps; and the winning delegation will then compete individually. Only one will get Poseidon's famous trident!
Du Rififi dans la Basse Cour
Run to the famous Gaulish village, to the Théâtre de Barde enjoying 200 seats, to enjoy the fun and lively show suiting all ages. A show stahing a Roman soldier trying to get in the heart of the village, to Bucolix and his farm animals. Between the research, stunts and twists, this is a very fun and enjoyable show.
Les Jeux d'Odous
Do you fear the heat at the Parc Astérix? Fear no more and get your swimsuit! Between watering rides such as the "Grand Splash" or "Menhir Express", the water displays and watermisters and the water fountain square, they have it all to cool you off!
A Gallic parade with new floats
This year again, enjoy the park's parades. As a matter of fact, two new floats are added. The longboat on which characters usually stand will now be surrounded by the imperial float of the famous Caesar and legendary Cleopatra. Two incredible characters found in Asterix comics. The new parade has been designed in an interactive fashion: every day, a few lucky visitors can join the parade. They will then be a Roman or an Egyptian.
Extended opening hours and firework show: Le Ciel vous Tombe sur la Tête
Summer goes on until 10 p.m. from July 14 to August 28. This is the occasion to discover the sublime pyrotechnic show at nightfall. A light and sound show created by Jean-Eric Ougier inspired by the druids' magic.
Also on the menu:
Louise's craft ice creams
Parc Astérix does not lack food, but in the summer, ice creams are a must. Have the indulging ice creams based on farmed milk by Louise by the entrance to the Gaulish Village.
Parc Asterix really suits all ages. Proof of it with the Forêt d'Idéfix, a genuine island for toddlers where rides suit them all. Shorter queues, a large playground, rides and slides, and a café to have a bite, children will have a lot of fun.
Viking Aerobar: the Aerolaf
This summer, a new and unique experience expects you at Parc Astérix. Set in the Viking area, in full heart of the Park, a new generation and rotary bar promises a unique and vertiginous experience. After choosing you drink at the bar, you will set off of the ground to quench your thirst with your head in the cloud, perched 35-m above the ground. Take a seat among the 16 seats of the atypical bar and enjoy the breathtaking view this experience offers.
After Discobélix in 2016, the Parc Astérix opens a new family rides in June 2017, the Pégase Express. Children from one meter tall can enjoy this rollercoaster never seen before in Europe offering visitors a crazy travel across the antique world featuring wonderful bends, descents and impressive ascents.
Attention Menhir: the new 4D attraction by StudioIdéfix
StudioIdéfix, new 300-seat theater, invites you to discover a new 4D show. The plot: Caesar sends Centurion Peupaplus from the Babaorum trench camp for the MDR operation (Mission Dissimulation Repression). Careful though, menhirs may fall.
After a preshow made of shadow puppets, put your 3D glasses on and while seated on dynamic chairs (there are also seats that don't move on the first row for those who don't enjoy moves), let's dive for 10 minutes in the universe of this new Astérix adventure. Wind, slaps, serpents, smell of the forest... Everything is here and extremely well done so that we can fully experience this story. Lights twinkling in the movie also twinkle in the room.
The Parc Asterix (finally) bets on technology and it's a success. To try absolutely this year.
