The Parc Astérix reopens this April 9, 2022 so you can enjoy rides and shows again. Here are the novelties waiting for you!

Parc Astérix, home of the almighty Gauls, is  waiting for you for a new 2022 season, starting this Saturday April 9. Are you looking for a fun new outing with family or friends? Come enjoy yourself at this theme park that has no fewer than 40 attractions and great shows.

This year, the park keeps on innovating. After the thrilling Oziris in 2012, the family favorite in 2014 with the Idéfix forest [Dogmatix Forest], new shows in 2015 and the Discobélix in 2016, blown us away with the Pégase Express back in 2017 and the arrival of the Hôtel Cité Suspendue and the Quais de Lutèce hotel, this year a new Tonnerre 2 Zeus is coming this spring.

To (re)discover at the Parc Astérix:

A Gallic parade with new floats
This year again, enjoy the park's parades. As a matter of fact, two new floats are added. The longboat on which characters usually stand will now be surrounded by the imperial float of the famous Caesar and legendary Cleopatra. Two incredible characters found in Asterix comics. The new parade has been designed in an interactive fashion: every day, a few lucky visitors can join the parade. They will then be a Roman or an Egyptian.

Les Quais de Lutèce, the new 4-star hotel at Parc Astérix has been officially inaugurated this Wednesday June 23, 2021, a year after it opened and got into lockdown. Named best themed hotel 2020 in the world by international association TEA (Themed Entertainment Association), this hotel featuring 150 bedrooms representing the majestic buildings of Lutetia as depicted in the comics, along the reconstituted Seine, welcomes guests so they can have a great stay. But you can still enjoy Parc Astérix novelties:

A new Tonnerre 2 Zeus is coming to Parc Astérix
Asecon Tonnerre 2 Zeus course is coming this spring-summer. Imagine a new 90° tilted fell (unique in Europe), two high-speed turns, two new humps, fourteen "airtimes" (when the speed makes passengers jump off their seats), a tunnel with special effects, as well as for the boldest ones, the last wagons are inverted to enjoy the ride backwards... in other words, thrill fans will be delighted again.

Attention Menhir: the new 4D attraction by StudioIdéfix
StudioIdéfix, new 300-seat theater, invites you to discover a new 4D show. The plot: Caesar sends Centurion Peupaplus from the Babaorum trench camp for the MDR operation (Mission Dissimulation Repression). Careful though, menhirs may fall.
After a preshow made of shadow puppets, put your 3D glasses on and while seated on dynamic chairs (there are also seats that don't move on the first row for those who don't enjoy moves), let's dive for 10 minutes in the universe of this new Astérix adventure. Wind, slaps, serpents, smell of the forest... Everything is here and extremely well done so that we can fully experience this story. Lights twinkling in the movie also twinkle in the room.
The Parc Asterix (finally) bets on technology and it's a success. To try absolutely this year.

Meetings with characters
Moreover, the park varies its show and street activity offerings. Each zone has its share of characters to meet: Romans, Egyptians, Vikings and Greeks are in. To enable you to keep social distancing without being ridiculous on the picture, the park has come up with original backgrounds!

"Chronos: magie et illusions" show [Chronos: Magic and Illusions] (Canceled until further notice)
Magician Mickaël and his creature Cléa blow us away. For 20 minutes, they complete several magic tricks including appearances and disappearances, shrinking and levitations... defying the laws of nature. It is rather classic but it always works. Children will be left in awe all the more so as the magician will make some of them take part in the show...
