As usual, Paris 13th arrondissement celebrates the Chinese New Year. This year let’s celebrate the year of the Rat starting from January 25. And to mark this change, the Paris City Hall and associations have come up with 2 weeks of entertainments to make you enjoy the Chinese culture.
Yes, celebrating the Chinese New Year goes beyond the average celebration as a parade is one of the highlights of the event. Beyond the clichés, the Chinese New Year is the occasion to celebrate the city’s cultural diversity in terms of tradition and contemporary sides.
This year, the 13th arrondissement town hall celebrates the tradition for 14 days of event. Note that as usual, many entertainments are planned within the town hall; exhibitions, concerts, Chinese shows… But the monumental parade planned on Sunday February 2 takes over it all as it is enjoyed by some 100,000 people yearly.
On the menu of these Chinese weeks:
Thursday January 23
Monday January 27
Wednesday January 29
Friday January 31
Saturday February 1
Exhibitions:
Sunday February 2
In other words, you’ll enjoy wonderful discoveries!
