Open Gardens weekend 2019 in Paris and Ile-de-France

Open Gardens in Ile de France is the new cultural event. For a weekend, you’re all invited to go to the most beautiful gardens in Paris and Ile-de-France for walks, concerts, poetic naps, lunches in kitchen gardens and even workshops. Meet on October 5 and 6, 2019!

For the third edition, President of the region Valérie Pécresse wished to celebrate the richness of the cultural and natural heritage of the region with a theme: kitchen garden.

Patrimonial gardens, shared gardens, family, collective or working gardens, as well as instructive gardens, gardens on rooftops, private gardens and urban farms are given pride of place.

In 2019, Open Gardens in Ile de France include:

  • Dance at the Fondation Marta Pan (Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuses, 78)
  • Theater at the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud (92) and the Ferme du Bonheur (Nanterre, 92)
  • Street theater at the Fondation des artistes (Nogent-sur-Marne, 94)
  • Poetry at the Maison Cocteau (Milly-la-Forêt, 91) and the Musée départemental Stéphane Mallarmé (Vulaines-sur-Seine, 77)
  • A young public show at the Butte Pinson (Montmagny, 95)
  • Plastics artist installations at the Château de La Roche Guyon (95) and thePropriété Caillebotte (Yerres, 91) 

For two days, gardens and kitchen gardens will provide a varied program likely to delight everyone – dance, music, theater, literature, gastronomy, history of art, ecology.

Staged walks, concerts, writing workshops, poetic naps, local products tasting sessions, guided tours, conferences, instructive workshops are said to be also available on the menu!
