The Jardin d’Acclimatation is one of Paris theme parks we love providing many entertainments for children and adults. After closing for months, the park reopens, and the many rides are once again available to children and big children like us.
These renovation works have been reviewed in 2018 following big works from the LVMH group that investied €60 million to recreate an area more likely to compete with the biggest Parisian theme parks.
Works aim at setting up these attractions as well as renovating Napoleon III’s architectural heritage and finding the Emperor’s landscaper’s historical drawing, Barillet-Deschamp, in order to offer us an exceptional place to stroll.
The 18 acres of nature are re-landscaped so that attractions can blend in. It’s a green leisure park where nature remains present while still in project. By the way, the small farm also evolves to enable kids to meet animals.
Now, between the green spaces, merry-go-rounds and attractions provide young children, from 1 year old, with thrills. To travel in time, rides are designed in a neo-futuristic style, Steampunk style. Think a blend of Harry Potter’s universe and the Lord of the Rings’ or maybe halfway between Jules Verne and Victor Cabret.
The park legendary dragon will have a new face and the rollercoasters will look like steam engines. Among the announced novelties, a 12-m high bobsleigh like a plane turbine emerges as well as flying boats.
A fresh wind blows on the Jardin d’Acclimatation and it’s not over since the group plans not less than 500 events or animations throughout the year. The place will rock and entertain us with the landscaped park we love so much.
Careful, the entrance is charged and rides are to be paid by the piece. An “All access” package for the day exists enabling you to enjoy unlimited rides all day long.
