In addition to Mouzaïa, which we mentioned just now, the 19th arrondissement has other little corners of paradise. One of these is called the Butte Bergeyre, and we can tell you that it has nothing to envy the more famous Butte Montmartre; quite the contrary.
The Butte Bergeyre is never overrun by tourists. It has to be said, though, that the staircase you have to climb to reach it might put some people off. But we can guarantee you that climbing them is well worth the effort, because at the top of the hill, you'll find yourself overlooking Paris. A magnificent panorama is yours and yours alone. You can even see the Sacré-Coeur in the distance!
With its air of a small village cut off from the rest of the capital and culminating at an altitude of 100 metres, the Butte Bergeyre is a great place for a stroll. Take a stroll through the cobbled streets, the shared garden or along the vineyards of the Clos des Chaufourniers. A change of scenery guaranteed!
Let's stay a little longer in the 19th arrondissement. There's another little village, even less well known and, above all, even more discreet than the Butte Bergeyre. It's the Villa des Fêtes! Located not far from Place des Fêtes (which is far from being a place renowned for its charm and calm) is this green and charming neighborhood. It's difficult to get in, since a gate blocks access. But don't hesitate to ask a local to let you in for a moment. Just long enough to discover this little haven of greenery, hidden from everyone's view, calm and full of flowers.
