Fancying a countryside walk without leaving Paris? We’ve got you covered: the La Campagne neighborhood in Paris. Just by the name, you can picture how beautiful and quiet this place is.
It’s in 1926 that the neighborhood is inaugurated. At the beginning, it was built to house families with modest incomes and other Parisian workers, in order to make them get on the property ladder more easily. Today, this lovely lot of 92 townhouses covering one to two stories is not really devoted to the same socio-professional category anymore.
Set at the edge of Paris, just before the loud Porte de Bagnolet, Paris La Campagne makes Parisians lacking green dream: lovely cobbled streets, brick small houses covered in ivy, wisterias and roses, flowered gardens, very little cars and very little noise… A lovely elegant and uncommon country dream.
Houses are built with different architectural styles (Alsatian with timber posts and pointed roofs, London-inspired, some with balconies), which gives to the whole lots of charm.
A beautiful bucolic walk for your next weekend in the streets of Paris!
