Thoiry ZooSafari welcomes from October 25, 2020 to March 7, 2021, the biggest Chinese lanterns festival in Île-de-France: Thoiry Lumières Sauvages. A magnificent show to rediscover from December 16, 2020. To adapt to curfew, the chateau estate now opens for sunset naming from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. for the next weeks.
This year, in addition to the 700 renovated lanters, 4 containers arrived back to late August with about 300 new lanterns.
For this third edition, the Zoo de Thoiry takes us to the dreams of the Comte de Thoiry, a great explorer from the Renaissance.
Go and discover this 1.5km tour, covering 3 hectares, to be amazed by the oneiric worlds with real and imaginary creatures, magical plants, beyond known-lands, and from the past or the future. Everything mixes, and fiction and reality are one.
Greeted in a "great Renaissance celebration" atmosphere, we are invited to get immersed in an enchanting journey to faraway lands, discovering the beauty of our planet. Underwater worlds, dinosaurs, exotic mammals, dragons, plants and fanficul flowers, these life-size lanterns take children and adults to a magical world inhabited by elves and poetry.
Entirely made by hand and covered in fabric, these unique works - specially created and designed for the zoo - will lit up at nightfall to offer a magical and enchanting tour.
Picture this: over 1,000 characters, plants and animals made of light, naming 8000 led light bubls for a fantastic walk.
In other words, a fantastic discovery to experience with your family, your better half or your friends for a unique and spectacular show. And before that, you can enjoy the safari part of the zoo from your car.
