Anyway, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Here’s a selection of the best hikes close to a watering hole and easily reachable from Paris by transport means. All you need to get your energy back.
Parc de Sceaux and Coulée Verte
Accessible with RER line B, stop at “Parc de Sceaux” or “Crois de Berny”. Time from Paris: 1:15.
As all partygoers respecting themselves, you’re tired on Saturday morning. Don’t panic, rest a bit and find a ticket at the bottom of your bag and meet in the famous park designed by André Le Nôtre: I’m obviously talking about the Parc de Sceaux. French formal gardens, a majestic castle, pitches as far as the eye can see and most of all, large ponds where we’d love to dive. To chill, it’s the perfect place.
Meudon and its ponds
Accessible with RER line C, stop at “Meudon Val Fleury”. Time from Paris: 35 minutes.
Meudon is a city including cultural wealth, a splendid forest as well as 3 super cool ponds. To see it yourself, you only have to take a forest walk leading you through the ponds and all the way to Bel-Air forest home, the Hangar Y or the Observatory. Carrière-sur-Seine Impressionist road in Louveciennes
Accessible with RER A, stop at “Gare de Houilles”. Time from Paris: 30 minutes.
In very preserved nature and yet so close to Paris, we discover bucolic landscapes made famous thanks to artists who have been inspired by these quiet decors. A quiet walk by the Seine to be lulled by the waiter and who knows, maybe the artist inside you will wake up with such beauty around.
Crossing the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse
Accessible with Transilien train line N, stop at Gare du Perray. Time from Paris Gare de Lyon: 45 minutes
All your nature cravings will be satisfied with this hike in Haute Vallée, Chevreuse. To do so, you better be fresh because 28km (even though it’s worth it) are no suitable for improvisation! Board for a quiet day between ponds, waterfalls, castles and rivers only 45 minutes from Paris.

Accessible with Transilien train line N, stop at “Gare du Perray”. Time from Paris: 1h15
Let’s finish with the Forêt de Rambouillet for a weekend in full nature. From one station to the other, you only need a ticket to go. Small bonus, we have a perfect spot for a perfect break by the water: the superb Etangs de Hollande. With this hike, you can be sure you’ll have a unique weekend!
