This is an outing idea very well-known by Parisians and yet we rarely think of enjoying it. And what a shame! When sunny days take over the French capital, Parisians and tourists flock to parks, gardens, and the Seine riverbanks. But others decide to go to the Bois de Vincennes and the Bois de Boulogne to get as close to nature as possible.
But in addition to picnics with one’s family, as a couple, or with friends, boule games, and even racket games, you can also go for a more original activity: going on a bark ride in Paris. Picture this: floating in the middle of a lake, far from groups, surrounded by your best friends, your soul mate, or your family, and with greenery as far as the eye can see!
This is possible! In the Bois de Vincennes, head to the Lac de Daumesnil on the belting way by the Porte Dorée metro station. Here, you can rent a bark every day, excluding from November 15 to February 15, including on public holidays. At weekends, you can rent a boat from 10 a.m. to one hour before nightfall, and over the week, from 2 p.m. Barks cost €13 the hour for one to two people, and €14 for groups of 3 to 4 people. By Vincennes / Saint-Mandé, the Lac des Minimes also provides bark rentals starting from €10 for boats up to 5 people.

And in the Bois de Boulogne, boats provided cost from €12 for the first out at weekends, and €8 half an hour. The rental place is set at the corner of the Route de la Muette in Neuilly and Route de Surennes. This is an ideal idea for an original outing or a romantic ride in Paris!
